Astro Bot Could Become Even More Decorated at the DICE Awards 2025

Astro Bot, a highly acclaimed platforming game not including Super Mario in its title, stands a chance to collect even more Game of the Year honors, now boasting six nominations for the DICE Awards next month. This gaming gem will vie for recognition at the event happening on February 13, 2025, and it shares the stage with other Sony productions such as LEGO Horizon Adventures and Helldivers 2 in various categories.

The DICE Awards, unlike the EA development studio known for creating Battlefield, is a well-respected institution dishing out accolades based on votes cast by its over 33,000 members. In this year’s ceremony, Astro Bot has earned nominations across six different categories.

  • Game of the Year
  • Outstanding Achievement in Animation
  • Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition
  • Outstanding Technical Achievement
  • Family Game of the Year
  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Design

In other categories, Helldivers 2 has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design, Action Game of the Year, and Online Game of the Year, while LEGO Horizon Adventures might win an award for its exceptional Art Direction. You can find the complete list of nominees through this link.

Astro Bot has amassed an impressive 110 “Game of the Year” accolades, making it nearly three times more decorated than any other game from the previous year. As per this source, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth holds 38 awards and Balatro follows closely with 28. Similar to many other critics, we too bestowed Astro Bot with our “Game of the Year” recognition a few weeks prior.
