It’s exciting to know that we’ll be getting additional Astro Bot levels and Special Bots! This was disclosed during the PlayStation Tournaments XP event, where a new speedrun stage was unveiled. Take a look at it in the tweet below:

A puzzling hint about additional content for Astro Bot has emerged, coming from an unexpected source: a jigsaw puzzle. After his move away from PlayStation, Shuhei Yoshida received a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle depicting the PS5 ship and several unique bots surrounding it. Keen observers have spotted a character in the image that is not yet part of the game, implying that we might see this character join the team at some point down the line.
At the very peak of the image, slightly left of the Astro Bot emblem, there are two volcanoes. Close by, you can see Kazuya from the Tekken series engaged in combat with Heihachi. Interestingly, Kazuya is obtained upon completing Birdy Barrage, while Heihachi isn’t part of the game at present. The bot showcases a revamped character model for Kazuya compared to his design in Astro’s Playroom, suggesting that he might be included as additional content in a future update.
Ever since its debut in September 2024, the platformer has been enhanced with five speedrun levels and a festive level titled “Winter Wonder”, all offered at no cost. Given the impending arrival of another Special Bot, it’s likely that these updates will be linked to a fresh level. A State of Play is speculated to occur next month, so the unveiling of this new Astro Bot content may not be too distant.
