Tonight, after a year’s absence, Asuka stepped back into the wrestling arena during WWE Raw. She didn’t waste any time getting into action with some of WWE’s top talents. In her comeback match, Asuka participated in a Fatal 4-Way bout for the Queen of the Ring tournament against Raquel Rodriguez, Ivy Nile, and Stephanie Vaquer. The crowd was thrilled each time Asuka engaged with Vaquer. Not only did Asuka demonstrate her readiness to fight upon her return, but she emerged victorious in the match, albeit with some crucial assistance from Rhea Ripley.
Initially in their match, Vaquer and Asuka engaged in a one-on-one confrontation, but this was interrupted by Nile. Later on, Asuka suffered a vicious dragon screw from Vaquer. In response, Vaquer executed a back suplex on Nile. However, just as Vaquer prepared for the Devil’s Kiss, Rodriguez intervened and halted the move in progress.
Initially, Vaquer retaliated by mirroring Rodriguez’s move followed by landing the Devil’s Kiss, yet this tactic briefly failed on him. Subsequently, Vaquer countered once more and managed to strike the Devil’s Kiss onto the ring apron for a 10-count. The clash between Vaquer and Asuka happened again, but Nile intervened, which eventually resulted in Nile coming close to securing a 3-count twice in quick succession.
Upon returning from a hiatus, Asuka dominated the ring by delivering a dropkick from the rope, establishing her dominance over everyone else. She unleashed merciless kicks on all opponents, Rodrigeuz taking the brunt of it with a barrage of strikes and a powerful kick to the face. Vaquer intervened during one pin attempt by Asuka, leading to a one-on-one showdown. Asuka stood her ground against Vaquer’s blows, but Vaquer retaliated with a swift knee strike and a suplex that balanced the fight’s momentum.

A Helping Hand
In the midst of the action, it appeared that Vaquer slightly injured her knee from another kick. This injury grew more severe in her subsequent move. Nile attempted to intervene and almost managed a quick three-count against Asuka, but Vaquer stepped in as a savior. Rodriguez then unleashed a massive kick on Vaquer, followed by a powerful slam. However, Rhea Ripley interfered, dragging Vaquer out of the ring, and executed a Riptide on Rodriguez outside the ropes.
In the arena, Ripley pushed Rodriguez back into the wrestling ring, and Asuka executed her latest move, the Empress Impact, sealing Rodriguez’s defeat, granting Asuka a significant victory during her comeback. This week on SmackDown, Asuka will square off against Alexa Bliss in the next round of the tournament.
