In contrast to the latest Atelier Ryza series, Atelier Yumia is set in a world where alchemy is forbidden and considered wicked due to a past catastrophe. As you play as Yumia Liessfeldt, your goal is to unravel the secrets surrounding her mother and the collapse of the Aladissian Empire. Along the way, you’ll be joined by allies such as Viktor and Isla von Duerer from the Order of Eustella.
Besides scaling structures using her enchanted footwear, Yumia also travels the world on a motorbike, making it feel larger than in previous installments. The alchemy system resembles that seen in classic games, and battles involve three team members.
