As a die-hard fan of the Atelier series who has witnessed the rise and fall of empires, the unraveling of mysteries, and the creation of countless potions, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land“. With each new detail revealed, the anticipation grows stronger.
Over the weekend, Gust disclosed fresh information about “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land,” including a new video clip. This upcoming installment in the Atelier series revolves around the character Yumia Liessfeldt, a novice who delves into the remnants of the Aladissian Empire. Along her journey, she gathers several companions, but they face opposition from a secretive organization.
Previously, we’ve encountered an individual resembling a werewolf, complete with a monocle, still as lively as can be. Additionally, there’s a dragon-like creature roaming around. But, there are also two other intriguing characters: one cloaked figure who appears human but wields a staff shaped like a snake, and another who resembles a witch with sheep-like features and the ability to control lightning, showing signs of animosity towards alchemists.
It’s plausible that they’re homunculi, born from the chaos that led to the empire’s demise and the banishment of Alchemy. Whether they’re after Yumia for her alchemical skills or her past, particularly her relationship with her mother, is yet to be revealed. Regardless, I’m determined to unearth the truth behind their motives.
On March 21st, 2025, you can get your hands on “Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories” and “The Envisioned Land” for a variety of platforms including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
