As a long-time follower of British athletics, I can confidently say that the current state of men’s middle-distance running is nothing short of exhilarating. Jake Wightman may be moving up to the 800m heats tomorrow, but we still have Josh Kerr to look forward to. This young man has shown time and again that he is more than a match for the reigning champion, Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
