As a long-time admirer of track and field athletics, I have had the pleasure of witnessing some truly exceptional talents grace the sport over the years. Among them is GB’s very own Matt Hudson-Smith. His journey in the world of sprinting has been nothing short of inspiring.


Matt Hudson-Smith from Great Britain is showing impressive speed in his running performances. In contrast to GB’s selection system that chooses the first two finishers plus one discretionary place, the US trials automatically pick the top three contestants. Quincy Hall secured the win with a time of 44.17 seconds, followed by Michael Norman. However, this wasn’t Hudson-Smith’s fastest time, making him an enticing choice for the upcoming event in France. Among my predictions, I include Hudson-Smith, current Olympic champion Steven Gardiner from the Bahamas, a young Belgian runner named Alex Doom, and Wayde van Niekerk, the world record holder. Additionally, Charlie Dobson, another British athlete, is expected to make it to the final and potentially surprise many spectators.
