Although Rebellion debuted Atomfall a bit later than expected, they’ve managed to pique our interest with their captivating demonstration of the game’s core mechanics. Visually, it truly shines.
You might be familiar that the tale is inspired by the infamous Windscale fire incident, marking the most disastrous nuclear event in the annals of British history.
In this setting, you’ll find a unique blend of traditional English landscapes, but with an unexpected twist: certain areas of the Lake District have been taken over by cults, and robots are exploring the wilderness. Stay sharp to avoid trouble!

The gameplay appears quite similar to Fallout, yet it boasts some ingenious mechanics. Unlike traditional games, there’s no currency involved; instead, you barter with merchants using items from your inventory. Unlike typical quest systems, there are no predefined objectives either. To advance through the campaign, you must delve into exploration and follow leads.
In the game, although the impression might be that survival is a dominant aspect, you have the freedom to customize your experience based on personal preferences. You can adjust the combat level to something easier if it proves challenging, or increase the rate at which resources appear if resource gathering tasks are not to your liking.
It’s our belief that this could turn out to be a surprise success, as it represents a significant departure from the usual fare for developer Rebellion, who are primarily recognized for their work on the Sniper Elite series.
