Atomfall Launches in March 2025, New Details and Gameplay Revealed

The trailer at Xbox @ Gamescom 2024 had me hooked with its eerie ambiance and intricate narrative. The game’s emphasis on trust and survival resonates deeply with my own experiences in the wasteland, where every decision can mean life or death.

Recently, Rebellion unveiled “Sniper Elite: Resistance” to hit the shelves next year. In addition, they have “Atomfall”, an enticing post-apocalyptic first-person survival game, set for release in March 2025. During Xbox’s Gamescom, a fresh trailer was revealed to confirm its launch date. Take a look at it below.

Additionally, details about gameplay were disclosed, commencing with the protagonist utilizing a phone booth for a call instructing them to assassinate “Oberon.” Subsequently, they traverse Windscale, a bustling locale inhabited by various characters. Some of these characters may task you and offer aid in exchange (possibly even a means of escape).

However, there are shades of grey, and deciding who to trust is important. Interestingly, you can’t just select dialogue choices willy-nilly. Annoy a character, and you’ll close off any potential leads. Of course, you could could kill everyone and finish the game. Alternatively, kill no one. The choice is yours.

In this game, fights are intense and immediate, allowing players to use various tools such as cricket bats that can be tossed, or firearms. Additionally, enemies can be pushed back by kicking them. One unique aspect is the option to aim a gun at an unarmed adversary who will raise their hands in submission. This strategy prevents violence unless they’re charging directly towards you.
