Atomfall Trailer Details Setting, B.A.R.D, Cults, and More

As a seasoned gamer who’s survived nuclear wastelands, zombie apocalypses, and alien invasions, I can’t help but feel a shiver of excitement running down my spine as I gaze upon the bleak yet captivating world of Atomfall. Having been through the ringer in countless post-apocalyptic titles, I can confidently say that Windam, with its eerie atmosphere and the ever-looming threat of B.A.R.D. robots, seems to be a place I’d love to (or perhaps not) call home next year.

In a fresh update, Rebellion Developments unveils a new trailer for their upcoming first-person survival game, titled Atomfall. Expected to drop early next year, this title takes place in the town of Windam, five years following the Windscale nuclear incident. The narrative revolves around the player exploring the activities of the British Atomic Research Division (B.A.R.D.), among other intriguing aspects.

In Windham, Protocol holds authority, maintaining order through assigned guards who stand by, yet reinforcements never materialized. On the other hand, B.A.R.D. bunkers are bustling with B.A.R.D. robots. The outskirts host various cults, armed primarily with traditional weapons such as bows, cricket bats, and axes, constructing wickermen and performing rituals.

Excluding the nearby caverns, which are controlled by glowing fungi and malevolent creatures, players need to gather various weapons and frequently manufacture ammunition as it’s hard to come by due to its scarcity.

The game titled “Atomfall” is set to debut in March 2025, supporting various platforms including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Additionally, it will be accessible on Game Pass from the first day of its release. To discover more about the inspirations behind this game, click here.
