Attack on Titan Creator Revisits Series for Special Maneskin Collab

As a die-hard fan who’s been following Attack on Titan since its inception, I must say that seeing Måneskin, a band that’s near and dear to my heart, get a special shoutout from Hajime Isayama is nothing short of exhilarating. The fact that they are now part of the AoT universe is just mind-blowing!

Although Attack on Titan concluded in 2021 with creator Hajime Isayama wrapping up Eren’s story, its impact continues to flourish. The series garnered a vast following over time, some of whom have achieved fame such as the members of Måneskin. Recently, Isayama has been trending due to his generous gesture towards this Italian rock band by presenting them with a unique gift.

It appears that the author of “Attack on Titan” has paid homage to Måneskin by incorporating the band members into the “Attack on Titan” universe. This unique tribute was created by Isayama, and it’s worth noting that Damiano David, the lead singer of Måneskin, recently discussed his fondness for “Attack on Titan” in an interview with Kodansha.

“I absolutely adore this! Every tiny aspect of it will likely become a prominent feature on my walls. So, once more, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to you, Isayama. Your sketch means a lot to me,” David expressed his feelings about the gift, acknowledging and thanking Isayama for it. Later, the musician shared how he discovered the ‘Attack on Titan’ series, followed by discussing what he found most captivating about it.

He shared that it was amusingly his first-ever anime experience; he stumbled upon “Attack on Titan” while casually browsing Netflix. Intrigued, he decided to give anime a try and discovered this highly-rated show, which instantly drew him into the world of anime.

What captivated me about the series was its extraordinary focus on intricate details. The narrative unfolded in unexpected manners, always keeping viewers on their toes. The overall look of the show is gritty and relatable, making it effortless to connect with the characters.

It appears that the lead singer of Måneskin, David, has a soft spot for Captain Levi from “Attack on Titan.” He’s also fond of Mikasa, but overall, he enjoys the main characters of the series. George R.R. Martin would be proud of the job Hajime Isayama did in creating such compelling characters, as fans like David found it effortless to become attached to the crew. This is what made “Attack on Titan” such an engaging story.

In Japan, the band M?neskin is gearing up for their first local performance at the Summer Sonic festival. Meanwhile, artist Isayama is taking a well-deserved rest following the conclusion of “Attack on Titan.” If you’re interested in his work, you can access the complete manga via Kodansha’s K MANGA app. For additional details, here’s a summary of “Attack on Titan”:

“In this post-apocalyptic science fiction tale, Earth has been overrun by colossal human-like beings called Titans. Their origins and motives remain a mystery, but their insatiable appetite for humanity is clear. Appearing irrational, they have terrorized the planet for centuries, leaving no one untouched. For the last hundred years, what remains of mankind has sought refuge within a colossal, three-layered city. The belief that their 50-meter high walls will keep them safe from the Titans is about to be challenged.”
