As a seasoned anime enthusiast with over two decades of immersion in the vast, intricate realms of manga and animated storytelling, I must say that the latest crossover between “Attack on Titan” and Cup Noodles has truly tickled my fancy. It’s not often that we get to see a franchise as dark and intense as “AoT” lightened up in such an unexpected yet delightful manner. The sight of the Scouts battling Titans with forks instead of swords is a sight I never thought I’d witness, and it has added a new layer of joy to my anime-watching experience.
The popular anime series, Attack on Titan, has been making news lately due to its debut movie in Japan titled Attack on Titan: The Last Attack. This film collects the final episodes of the anime season into a single large-scale movie. It showcases remastered scenes as well as an exclusive post-credit scene that is specific to this movie. Although mangaka Hajime Isayama concluded his adored, violent franchise, Eren Jaeger and his comrades continue to leave a lasting impression on the anime industry. In a freshly funny advertisement, the Survey Corps have ventured into the noodle business, marking one of the funniest crossovers ever made.
Anime series like “Attack on Titan” aren’t unique in their collaboration with Cup Noodles; even franchises adjacent to anime, such as Final Fantasy, have gone as far as incorporating Cup Noodles into an in-game mission in “Final Fantasy XV”. In the realm of strictly anime, we’ve seen series like “Cyberpunk Edgerunners”, “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” and “One Piece” experiment with convenience foods. When it comes to the Straw Hat Pirates, this collaboration even birthed a new animated project that reimagined them as high school students, offering a refreshing departure from their usual adventures in the Grand Line for anime fans.

Attack on Noodles
In an unusual collaboration, the makers of Cup Noodles have reimagined scenes from the gritty anime series “Attack on Titan” in a humorous manner. The latest commercial features scenes inspired by the third season’s anime adaptation, focusing on the Scouts confronting the Colossal Titan, Armored Titan, and Beast Titan. Typically known for its intense and somber battles, Cup Noodles adds a touch of whimsy to these events. In this version, instead of using swords, the Scouts use forks to handle the giant Titans.

Attack on Titan: Noodle-less Future
The movie “Attack on Titan: Final Battle” is causing quite a stir at Japanese cinemas, despite much of its content being previously shown on television. At this point, it’s unknown if this climactic conclusion will hit North American theaters. Given the anime franchise’s strong fanbase in the West, we think it could potentially be a money-maker if released there. One intriguing aspect of the film is the post-credits scene featuring fresh portrayals of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.
Despite the enduring popularity of “Attack on Titan” as a major anime franchise, its creator, Hajime Isayama, hasn’t been eager to develop a sequel for the series. However, he has expressed readiness to revisit the world of the Survey Corps if a compelling story idea presents itself. In an art book published this year, Isayama crafted a short story detailing Captain Levi’s childhood, entitled “Attack on Titan: Bad Boy.” Although Levi didn’t battle Titans in this tale, he faced his own share of harrowing experiences. As for whether Isayama plans to create more short stories set in this world, we can only speculate that he may return to the brutal landscape of “Attack on Titan” in the future.
