Attack on Titan Director, Staff Will Oversee One Piece Remake

As a seasoned gamer and anime enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the news about the upcoming remake of One Piece by Wit Studio has left me absolutely thrilled! The fact that this studio, which brought us the phenomenal Attack on Titan, is now venturing into the world of One Piece, is a dream come true for many fans.

The animated series One Piece has become a significant pillar within the anime world, with no signs of fading away. Although the original show might have reached its concluding saga, it’s clear that One Piece still has plenty of storytelling ahead. What’s more, Wit Studio is preparing to embark on one of the franchise’s most daring ventures – an anime reimagining of One Piece. Interestingly, Wit Studio will be incorporating a significant number of experts from their successful series, Attack on Titan, into this new project.

Indeed, as surprising as it may seem, the distance between Monkey D. Luffy and Eren Yeager is becoming increasingly small. Whether they’d make good friends or not remains uncertain, but they will certainly be working together under one roof, as they now share a studio.

On account of “One Piece” Day, it has come to our notice that Wit Studio has recruited several well-known personnel for “The One Piece”. For those who are eager to know, more details about the staff members can be found in the list provided below.

  • Director: Masashi Koizuka
  • Assistant Director: Hideaki Abe

As a long-time fan of both “Attack on Titan” and “One Piece,” I am thrilled to see Koizuka, who directed the first three seasons of my beloved “Attack on Titan,” taking the helm for the remake of “One Piece.” Given his impressive track record in creating captivating and immersive storytelling, I believe that he will bring a fresh perspective to the world of “One Piece” and breathe new life into the series. As someone who has spent countless hours watching anime over the years, I can’t wait to see what Koizuka has in store for us fans and am excited to see how he approaches this iconic series.

In regard to the other team members, it’s worth noting that several staff members from “One Piece” were involved in creating “Attack on Titan”. Abe handled animation for the show’s opening sequences, while Nakatake took on the producer role for “Attack on Titan”. From Kawamura to Asano, the team behind “One Piece” played a significant part in shaping “Attack on Titan” into the successful series it is today. Mappa Studios may have completed “Attack on Titan”, but Wit Studio was instrumental in making the series popular. Evidently, they are putting their best effort into “The One Piece”.

If you haven’t encountered “One Piece” before, feel free to dive into the original anime prior to this remake. In his youth, Monkey D. Luffy found his dream of becoming a pirate sparked by the stories of the sea rover known as “Red-Haired” Shanks.
