For the past several days, there’s been talk about two Transformers video games slated for release this year. It’s quite possible that Disney and Marvel Studios’ revamped version of Daredevil may not reach the same level of brutality as the critically-acclaimed Netflix series, but there are indications that they could be pushing boundaries with more intense violence than previously shown. Leaked photos from Daredevil: Born Again show characters drenched in blood, and the inclusion of characters like the Punisher suggests a shift towards a darker and grittier narrative. Furthermore, those working on the series are openly boasting about the “intense” violence that will be present, increasing fan anticipation.
