The Penguin Takeover Heads to New York City to Celebrate Premiere

HBO Max is preparing for the debut of “The Penguin,” a spinoff from “The Batman” featuring Colin Farrell reprising his role as Oz Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin and nemesis to the Dark Knight. In the lead-up to its premiere on Thursday, September 19th, “The Penguin” has launched a global marketing campaign, starting with San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. As part of the Penguin Takeover, fans can expect exclusive merchandise trucks touring New York City, as well as the illumination of famous landmarks and partnerships with local businesses that will be adorned in The Penguin’s signature plum purple color.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Getting Talking Plushies

Last year, the video game “Super Mario Bros.: Wonder” was launched on Nintendo Switch, introducing players to a fresh setting called the Flower Kingdom. In keeping with this theme, the game creators introduced several new features such as the conversational Talking Flowers and the Wonder Flower mechanic. This November, Japanese merchandise company San-ei Boeki is planning to release plush toys inspired by the game, giving fans a chance to own both a Talking Flower and a Wonder Flower plushie. The Wonder Flower toy doesn’t have any unique functions (it could have had lights), but the Talking Flower plush will replay 18 lines from the game in both Japanese and English versions.
