The second season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is getting ready to start. This television series, based on Rick Riordan’s popular books, debuted on Disney+ in December 2023, airing an eight-episode first season that told the story from The Lightning Thief. Shortly after the finale of “Percy Jackson” Season 1 aired, Disney approved a second season, one that will adapt Riordan’s second “Percy Jackson” novel, The Sea of Monsters. Everyone is eager for production to begin in summer, and this excitement grew when the cast and producers of “Percy Jackson” attended San Diego Comic-Con in July to discuss the upcoming start of filming.

In conversations with Empire Magazine, Schaefer shared insights about Kathryn Hahn’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following the incredible success of WandaVision. With various ideas for another series in mind, Schaefer found herself consistently drawn back to Agatha Harkness. Noticing a pattern and eager about their creative endeavor, Feige suggested a spinoff focusing on Hahn’s beloved character. Marvel apparently had high confidence in the show’s potential, as the WandaVision craze hadn’t fully taken off yet. With this encouragement, Schaefer decided to dive headfirst into the project.
