The traditional state of the DC Universe is about to undergo significant changes with James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios orchestrating numerous films and TV shows. The initial live-action series set to join this lineup is “Lanterns,” a Green Lantern series helmed by Chris Mundy (known for “Ozark” and “True Detective: Night Country”). This series will be jointly written by Mundy, Damon Lindelof (famous for “Watchmen” and “The Leftovers”), and comic writer Tom King. On Wednesday, Lindelof shared a photo on Instagram from his first San Diego Comic-Con for the pilot episode of “Lost,” where he was sporting a Green Lantern t-shirt. In the caption, he humorously mentions that Gunn and DC have provided him with a time machine to go back in time and promote his current work on “Lanterns.”

As a longtime enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as it seems that the long-awaited live-action reboot of the iconic series, Voltron, has been officially given the green light! This legendary show initially burst onto our screens in the 1980s, and it was a masterful adaptation of the Beast King GoLion anime for American viewers. The franchise has enjoyed an impressive run with over 100 episodes, and since then, it has spawned numerous reboots, sequels, and reinventions throughout the years.

Collectors have been eagerly anticipating the chance to invest in Marvel Cinematic Universe merchandise, and this week has offered something truly unusual. The announcement at MCU Hall H that Robert Downey Jr. will play Victor Von Doom has sent collectors scrambling to acquire anything connected to both characters. There was a lot of debate regarding AEW’s decision to air the footage of the altercation at All In between CM Punk and Jack Perry earlier this year, but one person who hadn’t weighed in on the footage being revealed is CM Punk. The footage did get a reaction after its reveal, though it also pretty much verified Punk’s earlier description of what took place. In an interview with Jimmy Traina’s SI Media podcast, Punk was asked how he felt about AEW showing the footage, and while Punk did feel a way about it, he ultimately didn’t really see the point, as there was nothing gained for AEW by showing it and no effect on him after it was shown. As a longtime fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s work, I eagerly await the release of his latest thriller, “Trap,” which opens in cinemas this week. Starring Josh Hartnett, the film revolves around a father and daughter who find themselves ensnared at a massive concert event that turns out to be a trap designed to capture a notorious serial killer. Given the movie’s dark subject matter, it is no surprise that preparation for the film required extensive research on serial killers, especially for Hartnett himself. In an interview with ComicBook, the actor shared some fascinating insights about what he learned while preparing for “Trap,” particularly focusing on the complex psychological traits of serial killers – their insatiable desire for recognition and their compulsion to present themselves as anything but monstrous.
