Xeno offers the thrilling terror and gruesome aspects typical of a monster movie combined with the warmth and excitement found in a kids’ adventure film. The trailer is filled with grand, sweeping music, and the story presented suggests strong similarities to E.T., as Wilson’s character Renee first encounters an alien that has crash-landed, forming a bond instead of feeling fear. She goes on to secretly protect this alien from those who seek to capture it.
