Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Now Supports PS5 Pro

As a seasoned gamer with decades of pixel-chasing adventures under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement when a game like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora receives an update that brings it to the next generation. The prospect of cranking up the frame rate and resolution on my PlayStation 5 Pro has me drooling like a Hydraulic Press Channel enthusiast with a new toy.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that alongside my favorite game, Secrets of the Spires, Massive Entertainment’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has just been updated with a fresh patch! This update brings exciting news for PlayStation 5 owners like myself, as it now supports the PlayStation 5 Pro.

A significant improvement is the inclusion of a 60 FPS Quality Mode, but there’s much more to explore. The internal resolution has been boosted, and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution serves as an upscaler. It’s highly possible that PSSR enables 4K output, while the enhanced internal resolution contributes to overall improved visual quality by providing a better input.

Indeed, considering the troubles some PS5 games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Alan Wake 2, and the Silent Hill 2 remake have experienced, it’s uncertain how things will pan out. Keep an eye on future announcements for more information.

You can also play ‘Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’ on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Take a look at our reviews for the main game and its first expansion, titled ‘The Sky Breaker’.
