New Avatar: The Last Airbender Shorts Will Be Released for Free
There’s nothing better than fresh Avatar: The Last Airbender content than free Avatar: The Last Airbender content! According to a press release from Avatar Studios, the official YouTube channel for the show will feature new animated shorts inspired by the original series. So far, two series of these shorts have been announced.
1. To start, we have a 10-episode collection of chibi-style skits. These animated skits will revisit significant scenes from the original series using the endearing chibi animation method, think of it as a sweeter take on the Ember Island Players’ performances.
2. A second batch of shorts offers a fresh perspective on the show and is related to another upcoming release commemorating the series’ 20th anniversary.
Battleground” – a game based on the popular series, Avatar, is coming to Roblox. According to the official description, players can master bending and pick between Water, Earth, Fire, or Air elements to use their preferred abilities. To complement this new game, a series of shorts will be released on YouTube, created using the Roblox engine. These shorts not only recreate iconic scenes from the show but also introduce fresh stories within the Avatar universe.
The Official Avatar: The Last Airbender Podcast Is Coming Back
In addition to the freshly released animated episodes, the widely acclaimed “Avatar: Braving the Elements” podcast is coming back for another round – a fourth season! Dante Basco (Prince Zuko) and Janet Varney (Avatar Korra) will join forces again for an episode-by-episode discussion of “The Legend of Korra”. This time, they’ll be diving deep into each installment. The fourth season will span across 30 episodes, with the creative process already underway. As of now, a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
To round things off, enthusiasts can now anticipate an exciting new animated series titled “Avatar: Seven Havens”, which belongs to the same universe as “The Last Airbender”. This upcoming show will focus on the Avatar that comes after Korra, tasked with restoring balance in the world following a devastating event at the end of her reign as the Avatar. As of now, there’s no announced release date for “Seven Havens”.
