Avowed Will Launch With Nvidia DLSS 3 and Ray Tracing on PC

As a hardcore RPG enthusiast with a soft spot for the Elder Scrolls series and a keen eye for visual fidelity, I must say that the latest trailer for Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed has me absolutely thrilled! The combination of Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen tech and ray tracing on Nvidia RTX GPUs promises a level of natural illumination and reflections that is truly breathtaking.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve got some exciting news to share! With Microsoft’s 2024 schedule jam-packed, it appears that Obsidian Entertainment’s highly anticipated title, Avowed, has been moved to the early part of next year. But fear not, as we wait, a captivating new trailer is now available! This sneak peek showcases the stunning visual impact of ray tracing on PC when paired with Nvidia RTX GPUs. Don’t miss out, take a look below!

The previews demonstrate a greater use of realistic lighting (thanks to Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen technology), as well as ray-traced reflections when using RTX compared to their absence. Nvidia has confirmed that the PC version will debut with compatibility for Nvidia DLSS 3 and Reflex upon release. The first feature offers improved performance while using ray tracing, while the second enables low-latency gaming on compatible hardware.

On February 18th, 2025, the game titled “Avowed” will be released for both PC and Xbox Series X/S. During the Xbox @ Gamescom 2024 livestream on August 23rd, you’ll get a sneak peek at this title along with other exciting games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, 33 Immortals, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Keep an eye out for further updates and new gameplay trailers in the meantime.
