Baby Driver Actor Hudson Joseph Meek Dead at 16

As a fellow actor who shares the same passion for our craft, I am deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Hudson Joseph Meek. Although our paths never crossed on set, his spirit and talent resonated far beyond the silver screen.

Sadly, the rising star, Hudson Joseph Meek, passed away on December 21 in Alabama. He was just 16 years old. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office revealed that Meek suffered fatal injuries after falling from a moving vehicle around 10:45 p.m. local time on December 19. He later succumbed to his injuries at UAB Hospital, as reported by NBC affiliate WTVM. The incident is currently being investigated by the Vestavia Hills police. A statement posted on Meek’s Instagram read, “Our hearts are shattered to announce that Hudson Meek has gone to be with the Lord tonight. His 16 years on this earth were too short, but he accomplished so much and touched everyone he encountered.

The announcement stated that a Life Celebration for Hudson is scheduled for December 28. Additional information about this event and details on making donations to a scholarship set up in his name at Vestavia Hills High School instead of sending flowers, will be provided later.

Meek, who has worked on shows like MacGyver, Found, and The School Duel, was a second-year student at Vestavia Hills High School, participating in their football team.
