As I delve into the lives of these Bachelor Nation couples, I find myself both fascinated and amused by their romantic journeys. Dean and Caelynn, despite their rocky start on Paradise, have managed to make it work off-screen and are now officially husband and wife. Their camp-themed wedding in the Colorado mountains sounds like a dream come true for any outdoorsy couple! Dylan and Hannah, another Paradise duo, also tied the knot in a multi-day French affair, which I imagine was as magical as it sounds.
Devin Strader is sharing his truth.
A week following the stunning ‘After the Final Rose’ reunion special, where it emerged that he and Bachelorette Jenn Tran had parted ways, Devin now shares his perspective on the events.
In a 13-minute Instagram video posted on September 10, the 28-year-old admitted that many people are currently upset with him. He expressed his intention to provide additional context regarding the situation and take responsibility for certain actions he was unable to address earlier, by offering an apology.
Following Jenn’s assertion that he ended their relationship during a brief phone conversation in early August, Devin explained his actions by stating he intended to discuss the breakup face-to-face and even attempted to arrange a meeting with her. Nevertheless, he added that Jenn was aware of the situation and had asked him to contact her instead.
“I didn’t really know what else to do,” he added. “She kind of forced my hand.”
Instead of backing Jenn’s assertion that Devin severed ties following their return from Hawaii as an engaged couple, Devin clarified that it wasn’t until weeks after their split that he began to distance himself. He explained that this move was part of an effort to progress in life post-breakup.
He admitted, “It’s difficult to admit this, but I required it for my own well-being.” And regarding relationships, he clarified, “They involve two individuals, each contributing in their unique ways.
In his video, Devin showcased what appeared to be text exchanges between him and Jenn, offering a glimpse into their relationship from its happiest moments to their split, even including their brief conversation post the Bachelorette special. As Devin mentioned, he had a particular motive for disclosing all these personal messages.
He made it clear to the audience that he wasn’t intending to criticize Jenn, “I’m not trying to accuse or speak negatively about her in any shape or form.” Instead, he aimed to emphasize that their connection was mutual and that they both should share responsibility.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my take on Devin’s actions during “After the Final Rose.” In his own words, he confessed that he was completely clueless about what was going to unfold on stage. To him, it seemed like his exes were maintaining a friendly rapport behind the scenes.
He realized he hadn’t understood anything that was discussed before that moment, as he remembered it. However, everything talked about after the breakup made him think our relationship was amicable.
Reflecting on this season’s events, it appears Devin wasn’t too fond of how their relationship was portrayed—particularly when he discovered that Jenn hadn’t initially chosen him, instead finding himself in a position where he had to “observe myself come in second” to Marcus Shoberg, who ultimately became the runner-up at the end of the season.
He explained, “I understand the emotions she felt toward Marcus, but I should have been made aware of them, even while we were together.
According to Devin’s observation, there were certain harsh actions he displayed before the virtual meeting with Jenn, which may have been influenced by this particular piece of information.
Reflecting on the past, it’s clear that Devin has feelings for Jenn, but he also feels he acted in his own best interest, a decision he stands by—though he acknowledges he might have regretted following Maria Georgas on Instagram after their breakup.
Regardless, he’s optimistic that by expressing himself, he can set straight the misconceptions circulating about their connection.
At the close, he expressed, “To Jenn, I deeply regret how things unfolded. It was never my intention to cause you pain, and I sincerely apologize for any distress I may have inflicted upon you.
In my personal journey, I felt compelled to extend a message of goodwill to Devin post the ‘After the Final Rose’ special. On Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, I shared that I reached out to him simply to express my hopes for his well-being.
After receiving messages from several women that upset me, she continued, ‘I decided it was over.’ Since then, there hasn’t been any communication between us.
Devin and Jenn aren’t the only Bachelor Nation couple to split. Keep reading to see which couples did and did not make it after the show.

Despite her nerves about a Paradise engagement, an all-dressed-in-white Eliza Isichei (one of Clayton Echard‘s exes) happily accepted Aaron Bryant‘s oceanfront proposal. Though that meant her planned engagement gown remained packed, “I just had to do what I felt was right,” she said. “Love is all about taking risk.”
Two days after their December 2023 finale aired, she announced on her Instagram Stories that their relationship had “dissolved due to multiple infidelities.” Aven later issued an apology to Kylee, writing, “I have made major mistakes in the relationship and hurt someone who was very close to me.”

The current status for Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who appeared on Bachelor Nation during Nick Viall’s season and seemed destined to be a beloved couple, is no longer together. Despite moving from Nashville to Ohio to be with him, they parted ways about a year ago. Michael shared his feelings on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast in September 2023, expressing that the relationship was filled with heartache because it didn’t work out as planned. He mentioned that when relationships end, especially when love is present but compatibility is lacking, one grieves not only for the person and friendship lost, but also for the future that once seemed within reach.

“I will love you until the end of time. I will love you until my last breath and I want to start forever with you,” Brandon Jones proclaimed while proposing to “best friend” Serene Russell on season seven of Paradise.
Alas, their journey was cut short. Five months after their engagement aired, Brandon (a runner-up on Michelle Young‘s season) and Serene (who romanced Clayton Echard) announced they had split in a joint May 2023 statement. “We have tried to work privately on our relationship which has been incredibly challenging in the public eye,” they wrote on Instagram. “This has been immensely hard to accept and painful, as there is a lot of love between the two of us. We are deeply hurting and can only ask that there be no hate.”

But, ultimately, the pair just didn’t have the right foundation, announcing their breakup six months after their season’s finale aired in December 2021.
Though he said on The Viall Files, “There was lots of ups and downs, lots of arguments, lots of fights and just not really clicking, not really seeing eye-to-eye,” Nayte acknowledged that not having that final split conversation in person was “a dick move.”
The duo from BIP season 7, Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, successfully shared their vision of blissful weekend mornings with the audience. However, despite their connection, they were only able to spend a few handfuls of weekends together. In a joint statement released in January 2022, their coordinator Maurissa (who was involved with Peter Weber) and attorney Riley (one of Tayshia Adams’ suitors) revealed that they had chosen to part ways. They never anticipated this outcome, but they have reached a stage where they both need to focus on personal growth.

On the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise”, the show’s first same-sex couple announced their engagement, however they revealed their separation in October 2019, which coincided with Halloween.
In their Instagram post, they expressed that love and concern for each other have always been central to their relationship. Their primary focus has been making decisions that benefit them both. With deep affection, they’ve decided it’s best for them to distance themselves from the relationship temporarily. They want what’s ultimately best for them in the long term, and at this moment, that means growing as individuals apart.
Current Status: Engaged
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, both former contestants on The Bachelor, decided to tie the knot earlier than their planned big wedding. They got married at City Hall in New York City, around a year after leaving Bachelor in Paradise as an engaged couple. Serena, now co-hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband, announced their secret marriage in October 2022 with a caption saying “JUST MARRIED!”, adding that they will still have a formal wedding in September.
Kenny Braasch, a boy band manager, expressed his profound love for Mari Pepin as he placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the finale of Paradise in 2021. “I am madly in love with you,” he said, “and I can’t imagine my life without you.” After capturing Matt’s heart initially as a Maryland beauty queen, Mari moved to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago and began planning their lifelong journey together. Before tying the knot in an oceanfront ceremony with 65 guests in Puerto Rico in November 2023, they made their love permanent by getting matching tattoos during a trip to the Bahamas in May 2023.

The couple then welcomed their first child, a son named Benson, in September 2023. Bending down on a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You are worthy of all the world has to offer, and I am thrilled to stand by your side and be there for you each day from now on.

In identical statements, they expressed their thanks for the shared moments and the year’s experiences, but acknowledged that they were not meant to be lifelong partners. They felt it was kindest for both parties to proceed separately.

Following her substitution for Clare Crawley during the 2020 edition of The Bachelorette, Tayshia developed feelings for Zac Clark. Despite ending her season as an engaged couple, Tayshia admitted at a later time that their relationship experienced its share of highs and lows.
Speaking candidly on the “The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous” podcast in August 2021, she expressed that maintaining a new relationship while being absent for a couple of weeks can be quite challenging, if you catch my drift.
After that incident, it seemed as though we needed to recall why we were together in the first place. This is completely typical, some might say. However, in November 2021, TopMob News reported that they had decided to part ways.
Status: Split
I tell you, during season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” Dale Moss swept me off my feet! It’s no secret that by the fourth episode, we were locked in a love connection so strong it led to an engagement. But here’s where things get intriguing: weeks after my replacement, Tayshia, found her own happily ever after, Dale shared on social media that our love story had run its course with the hairdresser he was seeing.
Approximately a month later, whispers of reconciliation began circulating when they were seen together again. Fast forwarding to July 2021, after numerous reunions, Clare and Dale had fully reconciled—complete with an engagement ring. However, in September, they decided to part ways once more. Currently, Clare is blissfully married to Ryan Dawkins and they are expecting their first child together.

Following his short-lived engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss and later separation from Madison Prewett, fans had high hopes that things would work out for Peter in his third attempt at love. However, unfortunately, the relationship between Peter and Kelley Flanagan, a notable contestant from The Bachelor season 24, didn’t last as planned. On New Year’s Eve 2020, the pilot revealed that their nine-month romance had come to an end.
Pete shared on Instagram that although our bond was rich with numerous cherished moments, unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned between us. However, Kelley remains someone whom I continue to carry a unique affection for.
In 2022, they made another attempt at flying again, but later in May, they disclosed that their romantic journey had come to an end.
Status: Split
After the emotional 2020 finale, the pair shared on Instagram that they wouldn’t continue their romantic involvement. Peter wrote, “Madi and I have mutually decided not to move forward in our relationship any longer. It wasn’t an easy decision for either of us, but after many heartfelt discussions, we agreed it was best for both of us. The affection and regard I have for Madi will continue to remain strong.
In her declaration, Madi expressed, “I’ll continue to cherish and honor him. I firmly believe that our lives were destined to intersect, and we’ve both grown for the better as a result.
Status: Split
During season 24 of ‘The Bachelor’, Peter and Hannah Ann had a brief engagement. Regrettably, by the second part of the finale, it became clear that they were facing difficulties just a month into their private relationship. More specifically, Hannah Ann was taken aback when she learned about Peter’s ongoing feelings for Madison, which continued to linger after their time together on the show.
She said, “All I’ve ever wanted is for someone to offer their complete love as I am giving mine to them. Unfortunately, you ended my first engagement.” In essence, she felt that you took something precious from her – her trust and faith, which she had been extending towards you.
Currently, their relationship status is “Married”. After their days of #vanlife, Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes, two reality TV figures, had parted ways during the sixth season of Paradise in 2019. However, since then, they have been inseparable.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I, Dylan Barbour, exchanged vows with my beloved Hannah Godwin in a fairytale-like event held in France. It was nothing short of enchanting, surrounded by our dearest family and friends. The union meant the world to us, truly realizing a dream come true.
