As an ardent anime enthusiast with over two decades of immersion in this vibrant world, I must say that Baki Hanma has undoubtedly etched a unique and indelible place in my heart. The series is a testament to unparalleled storytelling, breathtaking action sequences, and characters that resonate with a depth rarely seen in animation.
Baki Hanma has emerged as one of Netflix’s most significant anime figures. Although series like “Dragon Ball Daimao,” “Dandadan,” “Castlevania,” and the upcoming “Sakamoto Days” have been drawing considerable attention to Netflix, “Baki The Grappler” stands out as a beloved choice among viewers. With the Son of the Ogre, Yujiro Hanma, yet to return, his progeny has formed an unusual alliance with the Japanese government. Given the anime’s reputation for offering fans intense, bone-shattering fights, you may be taken aback by the nature of this partnership and its promotion for Japan.
In my recent recollection, I found myself relishing in the moment when Baki Hanma, the indomitable, triumphantly overpowered his dad in a thrilling one-on-one battle. Through most of this captivating series, we witnessed Baki’s tireless pursuit of strength, driven by the desire to earn the Ogre’s admiration and avenge the loss of his mother. In true Baki style, their fight was brimming with mind-blowing instances that seemed almost unrealistic. Even the spirit of Baki’s venerable grandfather appeared to bear witness to this highly anticipated showdown. After Baki had finally conquered his father, he earned the title of the world’s strongest being, but there were still a series of hard-hitting escapades awaiting him.

Baki x Japan: Clean Your Room
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has launched an initiative for an anime titled “Nameless Housework -Small Realizations Lead To Big Bonds.” Interestingly enough, this push towards household chores aligns perfectly with the last season of Baki Hanma, where Yujiro and his son tried to connect over a homemade meal. To further promote this message, Japan has unveiled a fresh video urging everyone to contribute in maintaining their homes. Here’s the collaboration video for your viewing pleasure.
The Future of Baki
Beyond this collaboration, the series “Baki The Grappler” promises a brilliant future within the realm of anime. Despite the Son of the Ogre successfully defeating his father and accomplishing his long-held objective, this isn’t the conclusion of Baki Hanma’s anime saga. In fact, it has been confirmed that “Baki-Dou” is set to be the next anime adaptation, making its debut on Netflix. This new installment will see Baki Hanma facing off against a legendary Japanese swordsman who has been brought back to life. Though no release date has been revealed yet, the upcoming season is bound to create a stir in the anime community whenever it is unveiled.
Interestingly enough, it’s no secret that creativity in the manga realm tends to be hereditary within the Itagaki family. Keisuke Itagaki, the father, has made this clear. His daughter, Peru Itagaki, is behind the creation of Beastars, a series that just started its final season on a streaming service. Despite both Baki and Beastars hailing from the same family, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see a joint storyline between these two franchises due to their stark differences. It’s hard to imagine Legosi, with his wolf-like powers, causing any harm to the offspring of an Ogre in such a scenario.
