Ballerina timeline explained – how does it connect to John Wick?

Essentially, most of the storyline in Ballerina unfolds following the incidents in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and preceding the events of John Wick: Chapter 4.

Surely, certain parts of the movie replay some episodes initially presented in Chapter 3, but this time offering alternative viewpoints, such as John Wick’s initial meeting with Eve which was among them.

From that point, Eve launches her personal quest for vengeance, with assistance from John at a later stage. This narrative leads us beyond the culmination of Chapter 3, but it doesn’t sync back up with the happenings in Chapter 4.

It’s noteworthy that certain portions of the film, specifically the initial scenes, transport us back to the earliest moments in the John Wick series timeline. Here, we encounter Eve as a young girl, followed by a jump cut to the sequence of events presented in the remainder of the movie.

But for the most part, the film takes place concurrently with the existing John Wick timeline.

Additionally, there’s a cartoon version of John Wick in the works, luckily just needing a voiceover – that would be great if they ask you to participate!

As a passionate movie reviewer, I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed ever since I heard the intriguing hint dropped by Lionsgate executive Jenefer Brown during her interview with ComicBook.com in March. She tantalizingly suggested that our beloved character John might have met his end. We’re all on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting the moment when we’ll finally uncover the truth about John’s fate.

In other words, it seems plausible that his survival would play a role in the upcoming storyline. However, if the creators opt for a prequel instead, then this event might not be relevant yet.
