As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tinge of melancholy at the news of Bandai Namco Online merging with Bandai Namco Entertainment. It feels like saying goodbye to an old friend who’s moving away.
On April 1st, 2025, I’m excited to share that Bandai Namco Entertainment is set to take over Bandai Namco Online in a merger. This means we’ll be joining forces, which I believe will bring even more amazing gaming experiences our way!
Bandai Namco Online was founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Entertainment, and it’s responsible for games like “Gundam Evolution” and the upcoming “Blue Protocol.” Unfortunately, “Gundam Evolution” has already been taken offline, while “Blue Protocol” is set to close on January 18, 2025.
After the absorption, Bandai Namco Entertainment will assume control of various titles and businesses previously managed by Bandai Namco Online, including Idolish Seven, SD Gundam Operations, and Gundam Tribe.
