Barack Obama’s Epic Photobomb of Family’s Photo Shoot

This family won’t soon forget this presidential cameo.

While taking a leisurely walk amidst the beautiful cherry blossom trees lining the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C., the former President, Barack Obama, crossed paths with Portia Moore’s children Preston (age 4) and Belle (20 months), who were having their photo taken. Unaware of the former president at the time, it was actually Portia’s husband, Damien Thomas, who identified Obama once their photography session had ended.

On Instagram, April 1st, Moore wrote: “It’s time for the children to snap a group photo and Damien is talking to me. I’m solely concerned about Preston not dashing towards the water – a classic mom-moment.

After wrapping up the shoot, I turned to Preston and inquired from Damien about what he had been saying earlier. He replied casually, “That was none other than President Obama who just passed by.” My response? A stunned, “Whoa!

Moore dashed towards the photographer and enquired if she had captured the image. “Scrolling through, I found it!” she exclaimed. “The ideal snapshot!

As the picture swiftly spread across social media, it eventually caught the eye of the unexpected special guest.

Barack Obama posted a message on his Instagram Stories saying, “I hope Preston and Belle had a great time during the blooming season!”, sharing a picture that Moore had taken featuring himself along with her children. He added, “Apologies for accidentally photo-bombing the shot.

The Democratic head figure was spotted, during his leisurely walk, donning a white collared shirt, gray trousers, a gray cap, and sunglasses. He had also shared images on social media featuring individuals strolling close to trees lining the reservoir not long ago.

What did Obama do in Washington D.C. that day? He enjoyed being a tourist, as he put it on Instagram on March 31, stating that the blooming cherry blossoms made for a beautiful sight that morning.

I can confidently affirm that Moore mentioned in her piece that a photograph of her children with the previous president has become a treasured keepsake, akin to family heritage, and will be featured on our festive Christmas greetings? Well, you could say that it’s an absolute certainty! She shared this during her April 1 interview with NBC 4 Washington.
