Batman: Arkham Shadow Launches on October 22nd

As a seasoned Batman fan with over three decades of Gotham City crime-fighting under my cowl, I can confidently say that the announcement of Batman: Arkham Shadow has sent a thrill down the spine of every Dark Knight aficionado out there. Having grown up on the gritty streets of Arkham Asylum, Origins, and City, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I prepare for this new adventure with the Rat King.

Despite the hype surrounding Tokyo Game Show, it’s important not to overlook the fact that “Batman: Arkham Shadow” now has an official release date. You can expect this game to drop on your Meta Quest 3 or 3S devices starting October 22nd.

Produced by Camouflaj, Arkham Shadow serves as a follow-up to Batman: Arkham Origins, occurring prior to Arkham Asylum. The game puts players on a quest to vanquish the Rat King and emphasizes linear indoor stages. Unlike previous installments, this adventure is exclusively presented from a first-person perspective.

Despite some changes, it still preserves essential gameplay elements such as free-flow combat, Detective Vision, and using tools to outsmart and defeat enemies. One thoughtful addition is that peeking around corners feels more realistic because you see things from Batman’s point of view. Interestingly, the Rat King isn’t the sole antagonist; characters like Two-Face, Scarecrow, and others also make appearances.
