However, when people imagine Batman, they typically don’t envision Batman Beyond, making the recent speculation that a new game in development by Rocksteady Studios, known for Batman: Arkham and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, could be a Batman Beyond title, seem surprising to some.
There’s talk that a trilogy akin to Batman: Arkham Knight is in development, featuring Batman Beyond, and there are whispers that it might be exclusive to PlayStation, more precisely, Sony may have secured the rights for the PS6 and barred its release on Xbox consoles. Whether this chatter holds water or not, only time will tell, but it’s certainly stirring up interest among Batman fans on the Batman Beyond subreddit. Some fans are thrilled by the prospect, while others are displeased about the potential PS6 exclusivity.
A disgruntled Batman fan comments, ‘If PlayStation gets an exclusive, I’ll be disappointed with Rocksteady.’ Another fan echoes this sentiment, saying, ‘Exclusive? No way.’

For legions of Batman enthusiasts on PlayStation, they might pray that this rumor isn’t accurate. Conversely, for the same number of Batman fans on Xbox, they would be hoping it is untrue. Both consoles, particularly PlayStation, have demonstrated a keen interest in securing exclusive Marvel content, but this hasn’t been the case with DC. Nevertheless, there haven’t been as many DC games as Marvel games during this generation.
