Fans of Batman have unearthed a hidden appearance by Adam West in the series “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” which originally aired on Cartoon Network in the late 2000s. However, in Season 2’s episode titled “Plague of the Prototypes,” West lends his voice to a friendly Batman Robot that assists the Caped Crusader in defeating Black Mask. In a recent Twitter post, @y2kmarcus_ shared a clip of West interacting with Diedrich Bader’s Batman, and the platform rejoiced as they reminisced about this nostalgic moment.
Back when West was alive, I had the pleasure of reading an interview in The Austin Chronicle where he talked about his life before and after donning the cape and cowl. He shared that the success from his work on The Detectives paved the way for him to become The Dark Knight. (But let me tell you, his portrayal was anything but somber.) West cherished those days and the opportunity to collaborate with such a diverse group of gifted individuals on a show that continues to captivate audiences even today.
In simpler terms, West reflected on his past experiences, stating that he had a wealth of talent and great colleagues. However, they didn’t have the advanced digital tools, special effects, or props that are common today. Instead, they used makeup, humorous costumes, and relied heavily on their creativity. They could learn valuable lessons, morals, and ethics from this. In essence, they were creating a form of absurd theater that was real at the same time.

Fans of Batwheels had the privilege of hearing West’s voice acting before his passing, as he made a guest appearance on an episode of the Cartoonito series in 2023. In “To the Batmobile”, he voiced a character based on his ’60s vehicle, which assisted the current team of automobile heroes in their fight against crime in Gotham City. The whole thing was adorable and served as a heartwarming reminder that Batman resonates with people of all ages.
