Batman Ninja Vs. Yakuza League Releases Wild New Trailer

Batman Ninja Vs. Yakuza League Releases Wild New Trailer

As a lifelong Batman fan who has seen the Dark Knight leap across rooftops and battle villains in live-action films, animated series, and comic books alike, I was beyond thrilled to witness the Caped Crusader’s latest anime adventure – Batman Ninja Vs. Yakuza League. The blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics with the gritty world of Gotham City is a match made in animation heaven.

Batman Ninja wasn’t just a one-time appearance of Batman in an anime, it’s likely we’ll see more of him in this style in the future. Lately, Warner Bros has been putting more resources into the anime world than before, as shown by their collaboration with Wit Studio. The two teams teamed up to produce The Suicide Squad Isekai, although Batman himself wasn’t part of it, some major Gotham City characters did receive an anime-style transformation. Batman Ninja Vs. Yakuza League is the next step in Batman’s anime journey, and a new trailer for the upcoming animated movie has been released, showcasing other heroes assisting Batman in his missions.

In 2018, the first “Batman Ninja” film hit the screens, with Warner Bros joining forces with production studios like Kamikaze Douga, YamatoWorks, and Barnum Studio to bring this unique twist on Batman to life. In this movie, both Batman and his adversaries found themselves transported to ancient Japan, undergoing transformations in appearance and abilities. By the end of the film, Batman managed to rally allies such as Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Catwoman to defeat villains including Joker, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd, Two Face, and others. For the upcoming installment in the series, still without a confirmed release date, Batman is set to confront enemies that seem all too familiar.

Batman Ninja Vs. The Yakuza League’s New Trailer

In the upcoming animated movie, Batman is teaming up with some reliable allies once more – Damian Wayne, Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, and Jason Todd are all set to have their moments in the limelight based on the latest trailer. Although the film’s plot remains shrouded in secrecy regarding the emergence of the Yakuza League, it appears that ominous versions of Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Green Lantern could pose a significant challenge to Batman and his team. So far, no signs of Superman have been detected in the promotional materials – which might work in Batman’s favor.

Batman Ninja’s Sequel Cast & Crew

Although the Japanese voice cast for “Batman Ninja Vs Yakuza League” has been confirmed, it remains uncertain if an English Dub will follow suit. Given that the original anime film and “Suicide Squad Isekai” had their own English Dubs, it’s likely that this animated sequel will also receive one. At present, here is a list of the Japanese actors lending their voices to Batman and his allies:

  • Batman: Koichi Yamadera
  • Robin: Yuki Kaji
  • Red Robin: Kengo Kawanishi
  • Nightwing: Daisuke Ono
  • Red Hood: Akira Ishida
  • Alfred Pennyworth: Hochu Otsuka
  • James Gordon: Masaki Terasoma

The crew that will be bringing this anime movie to life currently includes:

  • Director: Jumpei Mizusaki/Shinji Takagi
  • Screenplay: Kazuki Nakashima
  • Character Design: Takashi Okazaki
  • Music: Yugo Kanno Animation
  • Production: Kamikaze Douga

Warner Bros’ Skin in The Anime Game

Anime featuring characters from Warner Bros’ DC universe, such as “Suicide Squad Isekai” and “Batman Ninja” sequel, could just be the start. In an interview with Variety this year, James Gibbons, President of Warner Bros’ Asia-Pacific division, revealed that they have a Japanese anime studio producing around 5 to 10 series per year. This number is set to increase, and these anime are performing well, which is one reason for the expansion. Anime, it seems, is an effective way to reach the 18 to 30-year-old demographic, a group that can be hard to target. While not everywhere, in parts of the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, there are strong anime audiences.
