As a lifelong comic book enthusiast who’s seen the industry evolve from black-and-white panels to high-definition graphics, I must say that this Bazooka Joe and DC crossover is nothing short of brilliant! The unexpected team-up between these two iconic franchises has brought a fresh wave of excitement and nostalgia. Batman’s appearance was the cherry on top, adding an extra layer of depth to the comic.
It’s been fantastic to witness the unanticipated blend of Bazooka Joe and DC characters, and it would be simply marvelous if Batman made another appearance. In the latest comic collaboration, Batman captures Scarecrow and is escorting him to prison when they encounter Bazooka Joe and Mort. Since Mort isn’t familiar with Batman’s rogues gallery, he inquires about the man, and Joe explains that he’s Scarecrow, one of Batman’s most formidable adversaries. Mort then jokes, “Well, it’s just like a scarecrow…being outstanding in his field!”. Joe laughs, and though Batman isn’t shown afterward, you can imagine him chuckling too. As for Scarecrow, he’s had a tough night, so he likely didn’t find the humor in it, but who could really blame him?

The iconic Bazooka Bubble Gum made its debut in the United States in 1947, with Bazooka Joe comics following suit in 1953. New characters joined the Bazooka gang in 1983, and the brand celebrated its 27th anniversary in 2022. Despite this, Bazooka is still thriving in 2024, showing no signs of slowing down.

Recently, DC has been bustling with activity following the conclusion of its Absolute Power saga where Amanda Waller seized everyone’s powers and isolated them from the multiverse.
