After the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, there’s been some anticipation about when we might hear any news regarding the next Battlefield game. Luckily, it appears that the Battlefield Studios are still on schedule for a summer reveal. Andy McNamara, global senior director of communications for Battlefield at EA, hinted that the team has “some exciting developments in the works.
When questioned about whether there’s still a planned reveal in June, he stated, “The community will be informed when the reveal is imminent. Our focus is currently on Labs and getting ready for the Summer unveiling.” Since Summer concludes on September 23rd, it’s plausible that a trailer might premiere at Gamescom in August, or potentially even earlier.
The upcoming game, colloquially referred to as “Battlefield 6“, is slated to be released before April 2026. Starting in March, “Battlefield” Labs kicked off with a sequence of PC playtests focusing on movement, combat, and destruction. Extensive gameplay details have been leaked from these tests.
Approximately 600,000 gamers took part in the playtesting of Electronic Arts’ new game across North America and Europe, with plans to expand to Asia soon. Keep an eye out for future news about possible collaborations with additional platforms or a potential open beta testing period.
We got some things brewing. 🙂
