As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about Electronic Arts unveiling Battlefield Labs! This is an exclusive opportunity for gamers like us to partner up with the creators themselves, testing out ideas for future Battlefield experiences and offering invaluable feedback. If you’re game (pun intended), head over here to sign up!
Here is an overview of the initiative, via Electronic Arts:
What is Battlefield Labs?
At Battlefield Labs, we invite you, our valued players, to join us in trying out new ideas and gaming experiences that excite us. Our goal is to empower our community and let many of you shape the future of Battlefield.
We’ll evaluate nearly all aspects, but not every part you encounter will be fully polished. To make sure your input matters, players will be given sneak peeks, under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), of various incomplete parts of a larger puzzle. This allows us to incorporate your feedback into the final product before it’s complete.
Despite being in its early stages, we’re genuinely satisfied with how the game has progressed so far. We spend countless hours testing it out, but your input is invaluable in powering up our development process. Our goal is to strike the ideal balance between aesthetics, usability, and overall experience as we continue to refine the game based on your feedback.
In an unprecedented turn for Battlefield, we’re about to embark on a unique phase. To begin with, we’ll evaluate the fundamental aspects of gameplay such as close-quarters battle and environment destruction. Subsequently, we’ll fine-tune the balance and response of our weapons, vehicles, and equipment, culminating in how all these elements interact within our maps, game modes, and team dynamics.
Indeed, we’ll definitely be trying out Conquest and Breakthrough, the core aspects of our immersive warfare experience. However, BF Labs isn’t just about that. It’s also a platform for us to innovate and refine essential elements of Battlefield, such as the class system (Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon), aiming to make gameplay more tactical and strategic.
How Do I Get Involved?
Please register today! We’re aiming to create a diverse representation of our gaming community, including both seasoned players and newcomers, who are eager to play and share their thoughts on the future direction of Battlefield. Initially, we will extend invitations to just a few thousand individuals, with game servers situated in Europe and North America. As time progresses, we plan to extend this opportunity to tens of thousands more, expanding our reach to additional regions as well.
As an ardent Battlefield enthusiast myself, I’m thrilled to invite everyone, regardless of your level of involvement, to join us on this exciting journey. We’re going to share behind-the-scenes updates straight from our dedicated community team and the developers at Battlefield Studios, giving you a unique insight into the creative process.
Visit battlefield.com/labs for more information on how you can sign-up.
Before the new game “Battlefield” is released, you’ll have plenty of chances to test your skills and chat with others in a warm-up battle. This is just the start of many exciting gaming experiences to come!
Until that time, connect with us on the authentic Battlefield Discord channel. It’s our primary means of keeping you informed about everything related to Battlefield!
