This year marks the fifteenth anniversary for PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta series, as the original game was released globally in January 2010. To honor this milestone, the developer has declared “Bayonetta’s 15th Anniversary Year” – a year-long tribute to the franchise.
In addition to monthly freebies such as phone wallpapers, there’s a special edition music box manufactured by Wayo Records up for grabs. This unique item plays “Mysterious Destiny” by Masami Ueda and is priced at €220.00. However, PlatinumGames hinted on their tweet that they have some surprises lined up to mark this occasion, while the official blog also suggests several upcoming announcements.
It’s yet unclear if there will be any news about games from this series, so keep an eye out for future announcements. The most recent installment in the franchise was Bayonetta 3, released in October 2022 on Nintendo Switch. This game introduces a new villain, Singularity, whom Bayonetta battles across various dimensions. Additionally, a fresh character named Viola enters the action with her distinct moves and skills.
