BBC Cancels Nadiya Hussain’s Show After 10 Years

Nadiya Hussain has announced that, following a ten-year run, the BBC will not be continuing her cookery show for any more episodes.

After triumphing in The Great British Bake Off back in 2015, Nadiya has since become a familiar figure on our television sets, presenting programs like Nadiya’s British Food Adventures, Nadiya’s Family Favorites, and Nadiya Bakes among others.

Currently, the television cook and writer has announced on Instagram through a video that the BBC chose not to proceed with the production of the show.

Hussain mentioned that the BBC’s choice not to continue the series was a significant moment that marked a substantial shift in his life.

According to a representative from BBC, they’ve decided not to produce another cooking show starring Nadiya Hussain for now, following some exceptional series that have already been aired.

Nadiya continues to be highly appreciated within the BBC community, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with her on upcoming ventures.

Hussain, a long-time presence on the BBC, expressed in her video about the news: “The BBC opted against producing a show anymore. This decision marked a significant moment for me since it was a role I had been involved with for the last ten years.

I had already set a consistent path of transformation, pondering about my career aspirations. When the BBC chose not to renew the show, it served as a confirmation for me, pushing me to stand firm and declare, ‘Now I know exactly where I want to end up.’

In another Instagram post, Hussain discussed the persistent conflict in Gaza, revealing that it has led her to pay closer attention to the brands and businesses she collaborates with, as well as the nature of her own posts.

She remarked: “It’s been intriguing as numerous transformations have occurred in my profession. These changes excite me immensely, particularly the opportunity to regain control over my work methods, collaborators, and responsibilities. This newfound freedom is something I haven’t experienced in the past decade.

Regarding upcoming ventures, Hussain hinted at being engrossed in fresh endeavors, yet emphasized her desire to collaborate with individuals who value her perspective and skills, while also expressing faith in her own abilities.
