Once again, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be held; this time in 2025, it will take place in Liverpool to honor the most prominent and exciting British music!
For three consecutive days at Sefton Park, some of this year’s top radio acts are set to throw an unmissable festival, with over 90 artists spread across four stages for you to groove and kick-off the summer in style.
Regardless if you find yourself at the Radio 1 Main Stage, Radio 1 New Music Stage, Radio 1 Dance Stage, or the BBC Introducing Stage, you can expect an unforgettable experience.
At the beginning of January, Greg James revealed on BBC Breakfast that Sam Fender will lead as the primary headliner for the upcoming event. Additional artists are yet to be disclosed before the festivities commence from Friday, May 23rd through Sunday, May 25th.

Regarding the announcement, Myles Smith, the winner of this year’s BRITs Rising Star award, expressed his excitement by saying: “It’s hard to believe! The Big Weekend has long been a dream of mine, and just being part of the line-up once more is absolutely mind-blowing.
I’m grateful to each one of you for tuning in, backing me up, and attending my performances. I wouldn’t be here without your help. Looking forward to seeing you at the next event!
Blossoms expressed their excitement: “We’re thrilled that Radio 1 asked us to perform at this year’s Big Weekend! It’s even more special because it’s happening in Liverpool, a city dear to us, where we’ve worked and recorded every one of our albums since our debut in 2016.
“It’s going to be a really special weekend and we can’t wait to perform.”
How do I get tickets to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend?

BBC Radio 1 hasn’t specified a date for ticket sales just yet, but they’ve assured us that they’re arriving shortly.
Information will be announced on the radio station when it becomes available.
In case you can’t secure tickets, you’ll still have an opportunity to enjoy the festival as BBC Radio 1 plans to stream live coverage directly from the event venue over the entire weekend. The live broadcasts along with various performances and tracks will be accessible not only during the live stream but also on-demand through BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds platforms.
