Kendrick Lamar’s latest hit song, the five-time Grammy-winning “Not Like Us,” often seen as a sort of musical rivalry anthem (but not exactly a rap feud), can now be found in its uncensored form in the rhythm game Beat Saber. You might have witnessed him performing it live during Super Bowl LIX in 2025.
For just $2.10 / £1.69, you can join the fun of rhythmically smashing blocks in sync with the music on PSVR2 and PS5. By doing so, you’re expressing your loyalty towards either Drake or Kendrick Lamar, as Beat Saber currently doesn’t feature any tracks by Drake. If you find yourself supporting someone other than Kendrick, I’m afraid there’s little room for change in this game.
Being a gamer with a soft spot for melancholic tunes, I had to delve into the intricate details of the infamous Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud through their dedicated Wikipedia page. This rivalry dates back to 2013 but intensified in 2024 with a series of tracks exchanged between them. By then, Kendrick had already released four diss tracks at Drake, who countered the next day with “The Heart Part 6”. Unfortunately for us gamers, this track isn’t playable in Beat Saber, and as far as I know, it hasn’t been performed live during any Super Bowl halftime shows yet.
Is it surprising to you that Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has seen such a significant decrease (or “shock drop”) in Beat Saber? Feel free to express your thoughts on this matter in the comment section below.
