As a huge fan of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that Joseph Marcell was joining the cast of “Bel-Air” for its third season. Marcell, who famously portrayed Geoffrey in the original sitcom, will be appearing as a “mysterious member of the Banks family’s past.”
Next month, “Bel-Air” will be back on Peacock for its third season, and it’s bringing along one of the original sitcom stars. In “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Joseph Marcell played the role of Geoffrey, the butler, appearing in every single episode (147 in total). Recently, Peacock unveiled the official trailer for “Bel-Air” Season 3, which confirmed Marcell as a part of the new version’s cast.
In the trailer displayed beneath, Marcell makes an appearance around the 1:30 minute mark. However, he isn’t taking on the role of Geoffrey again, as Jimmy Akingbola portrays that character in this show. Unfortunately, little information is available about Marcell’s enigmatic character within the Banks family history.
Starting August 15th, Peacock welcomes back “Bel-Air” for its third season. On this date, viewers can look forward to watching the first three episodes. The remaining episodes will then be released on a weekly basis.
