In the most recent installment of “The White Lotus,” we witness an awkward encounter between two personalities, hinting at a continuation of a significant plot thread from the last season.
Last week’s season 3 premiere left viewers stunned when they spotted Jon Gries reprising his character Greg, a role that had been carefully hidden from the public until the first episode aired.
Following the unveiling, the creator, Mike White, clarified that the decision to continue including Jennifer Coolidge’s character was made with the intention of keeping her storyline relevant, as her character (Tanya) had been killed in a complex plot orchestrated by Greg during the show’s second season.
It seems that if Greg, who is now using the alias ‘Gary’, believed he could evade notice in Thailand, his peace might be disrupted as Belinda, a fellow guest from the White Lotus resort in Maui, appears to have recognized him at the present resort.
Belinda finds it hard to identify where she knows him from, yet his face strongly reminds her of something familiar, almost like a loud bell ringing inside her mind.
It seems to me that she’s getting alarmed, as if she’s saying “the problem originates from within,” suggesting that there’s an issue I should focus on.
In my perspective, she’s incredibly dedicated to following her intuition. It’s almost as if you can watch her mind at work, piecing together the puzzle. Without a doubt, she won’t stop until every single piece is in place.
It appears these comments imply that the upcoming season won’t dismiss this particular moment involving Greg and Belinda, but rather Belinda will stay vigilant over Greg in the near future. However, the concern remains: could her vigilance potentially place her in danger?
It is common knowledge that someone will not survive their time here, and both Rothwell and her fellow actors, Aimee Lou Wood and Michelle Monaghan, have expressed shock over who the secret victim turns out to be in this season’s plot.
