Bella Ramsey Thought She Was Being Terrorized by a Fan, It Was Actually Kit Harington!

After completing her role as Lyanna Mormont in season eight of “Game of Thrones”, Bella Ramsey will take on a new challenge – battling zombies as Ellie in the 2025 TV schedule for HBO’s “The Last of Us”. Although it has been some time since their appearance in the George R.R. Martin adaptation, the British actor reminisces about an instance where they believed they were being harassed by a fan, only to discover that it was their “Game of Thrones” co-star Kit Harington.

Currently, “The Last of Us” is one of Bella Ramsey’s significant projects (available for streaming through your Max subscription), but that doesn’t stop her past on “Game of Thrones” from resurfacing occasionally. During an interview with Kit Harington for Interview Magazine, Ramsey was asked if they had seen each other since their time on the HBO show, and here’s what she replied:

OR

As a cinema enthusiast, I recall an instance where our paths crossed unexpectedly. I remember strolling along the road when, from a passing taxi, I heard a familiar voice calling out my name. Initially startled, I soon realized it was you, and the sweetness of that moment quickly dispelled any fear.

It’s easy to understand how unsettling it would be to hear someone shouting your name from a taxi, given that the person hailing from Nottingham shared their experience of experiencing an unusual surge in recognition following their role in The Last of Us. However, luckily for them, the face peeking out from the taxi was a familiar one.

Despite currently being involved in “The Last of Us,” Bella Ramsey still cherishes the role of Lyanna Mormont, reminiscing adorably about mimicking Kit Harington’s lines on the Game of Thrones set when he found them challenging. In jest, Harington admitted that this friendly behavior created a “competition” between them, and he felt compelled to improve his performance given the impressive talent beside him. This feels like a sweet example of sibling rivalry! Ramsey acknowledged it stemmed from an “innocent place,” but I can understand why they knew everyone’s lines after listening to them repeatedly.

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I can’t help but reflect on my initial acting venture with “Game of Thrones,” where I portrayed the indomitable Lyanna Mormont. Initially, I was petrified to step into the role, fearing that my performance might tarnish the image of this fierce House Mormont leader in the eyes of fans. However, I’m grateful that the character resonated with viewers and left me yearning for more screen time with Lyanna.

It was truly inspiring when Kit Harington, a seasoned actor with years of fame under his belt, offered me invaluable advice during interviews for “Catherine Called Birdy.” His guidance to be authentic and true to myself was priceless, making it an unforgettable experience to receive wisdom from such esteemed colleagues.

Bella Ramsey could face a touch of stardom from their roles in HBO TV shows, but it’s comforting to know they have a supportive fan in Kit Harington, their co-star from Game of Thrones. Here’s hoping that their exceptional on-screen rapport will lead them to collaborate again in the future. Don’t forget to tune in to The Last of Us every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO.
