As a person who has closely followed the health and wellness journeys of various celebrities, I’ve come across numerous stories of individuals turning to Ozempic for weight loss and other health benefits. Some have experienced remarkable transformations, reporting improvements in their blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and overall energy and vitality. Terry, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, and Remi Bader are a few examples of those who have publicly shared their experiences with the medication.

Bella Thorne is shaking up the Ozempic discourse.

A former contestant on “Shake It Up” openly discussed how the widespread use of weight loss medications affects her perception of her own body.

“For some time now, I’ve been unhappy with my body, and it’s been exacerbated by the widespread use of Ozempic. It puts unrealistic beauty standards in place that are difficult to meet unless you’re taking this medication. Despite swimming daily, sweating out every last drop, and walking everywhere, I still can’t seem to measure up.”

As I stand here confidently in my blue bikini, I can’t help but feel elated with myself. It’s been a long time coming, but finally, I’m embracing self-love and acceptance. And to add, I’m ready to bid farewell to Ozempic, so long! (brandishes middle finger)

Using her video, Bella, who is betrothed to music producer Mark Emms, joins the ranks of numerous celebrities expressing views on the recent trend in Hollywood and beyond, involving the utilization of type 2 diabetes medications like Ozempic for slimming down purposes.

Among those who have expressed opinions about this trend, an equal number can be found both supporting and criticizing the substance in question.

Within the world of “Real Housewives,” individual Bravolebrities have had unique journeys when it comes to trying weight loss medications.

Jennifer Aydin of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” expressed her enthusiasm about her current weight on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen on July 14, stating, “I love being this weight, I really do! You can’t tell but I have so much energy.” In contrast, Jennifer Fessler shared in December that the same drug led her to experience an obstructed bowel.

At the same time, Kandi Burruss, a former star of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” shared that Ozempic didn’t help her lose weight, but it did influence her mood and mental state.

She shared with PageSix’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast on June 25th last year that she had attempted it. Many people were reportedly shedding pounds from it, so she thought, “I’ll give it a go.” However, she didn’t manage to lose any weight herself.

In fact, her result left even medical staff stumped.

I found myself in a confusing predicament when my doctor expressed uncertainty about my condition, mentioning that he hadn’t encountered it in other patients. Hearing this left me feeling disheartened, as seeing others benefit from the same treatment and not experiencing the same results was a dismaying experience. It’s natural to ask oneself, “What sets me apart? Why isn’t this working for me?”

In an interview with Page Six in April 2024, a former star of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” revealed that he shed 32 pounds within two months by using semaglutide injections, which is the generic version of Ozempic.

In March 2024, Ree Drummond, famously known as The Pioneer Woman, revealed on her blog that she didn’t use Ozempic or comparable drugs for her 50-pound weight loss in 2022.

Instead of saying “She added,” you could write “Furthermore, she expressed,” or “She went on to say.” As for paraphrasing the rest of the sentence, how about “I won’t judge those who make different choices”? Or “Everyone has the right to their own path in life”?

In August 2023, the former “30 Rock” star shared on “Today With Hoda and Jenna” that his weight loss on Ozempic was due to the medication curbing his hunger.

In March 2024, his health situation took an unexpected twist. He shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he had learned to consume more food than Ozempic could regulate. Consequently, he added 40 pounds.

Former star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” shared her unsuccessful experience trying to drop pounds through the use of injectable weight loss medication.

She expressed that in June 2024, the diet didn’t suppress her hunger. Contrary to what others might claim, experiencing difficulty in eating was never an issue for her. Instead, she indulged in appetizers, a main course, and dessert with ease. The diet didn’t hinder her eating habits at all. However, when she observed it benefiting others but not herself, it left her feeling down. Realistically, such situations may make one question, “What is wrong with me? Why doesn’t it affect me as it does for others?”

During an interview with Fox News Digital, she expressed, “I’m not qualified to discuss this from a medical perspective, but I do have access to a wealth of information. In my opinion, Ozempic offers several advantages, yet it comes with potential risks as well.”

Kate openly shared with The New York Times Magazine in a recent interview, published on March 3rd, that she is unfamiliar with Ozempic. Her knowledge on the subject is limited to it being a pill that people seem to be consuming.

Heidi mentioned her preference for something lasting and something that involves effort as well.

During my recent chat on Watch What Happens Live on June 8, 2023, I didn’t mince words when addressing celebrities for not openly acknowledging their use of Ozempic as a weight loss aid.

I’ve noticed a trend lately that leaves me feeling quite baffled and amused in equal measure. It seems that everyone around me, from my closest friends to acquaintances and even strangers, are jumping on the bandwagon of trying out Ozempic or similar weight loss medications. Don’t get me wrong, if it works for them and they find success in their health journey, then more power to them. However, the constant boasting about smaller portion sizes and denial of using these treatments strikes a nerve with me.

Schumer openly discussed her past health interventions and admitted, “Be honest with each other. When I had liposuction, I openly declared it.”

She confessed to developing a strong attachment to Ozempic in 2022, yet shared that using the Type 2 diabetes medication was inconvenient for her since it limited her time with her 5-year-old son Gene.

As an obsessed fan, I can relate all too well to how Schumer once felt. I recall those agonizing moments when I was among the crowd of parents who were ill and unable to join in the fun with our children. My body was painfully thin, and yet, there I was, watching helplessly as my son tossed a ball towards me, but I just couldn’t participate.

At the Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season two event on September 12, 2023, in Los Angeles, Dr. Drew shared with TopMob News exclusively that there’s a complex reaction among people regarding interventions of this nature. They’re attracted to it, yet they harbor some reservations.

If we find a useful medication, I suggest people consider giving it a try.

The former “Game of Thrones” actress openly expressed her views on Ozempic and its commercials.

On her Instagram Story dated April 5, 2023, the actress shared a tweet from author Sophie Vershbow. In this tweet, Vershbow expressed her dislike for the Ozempic ads that are prevalent in the Times Square subway station, stating “I had enough of these Ozempic ads at the Times Square subway station.” One of the ads depicted in Vershbow’s tweeted photos read “One injection to lose weight,” while another carried a similar message “A weekly injection for weight loss.”

Turner adding her own commentary, writing, “WTF.”

Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Ozempic, has informed TopMob News that this medication has not received approval from the FDA for long-term weight management use.

As a patient who has struggled with weight loss for years, I can understand the allure of a medication like Ozempic that may help with both diabetes management and weight loss. However, as someone who values transparency and adherence to the law, I fully support Novo Nordisk’s stance on off-label use of their medicines.

For the comedian Handler, Ozempic is nothing to joke about. She unknowingly obtained a prescription for this medication from her doctor, who she referred to as her “anti-aging specialist,” not realizing what the drug actually was.

During the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy, she expressed surprise, admitting, “I hadn’t realized I was on it.” She continued, “She suggested this if I ever wanted to lose a few pounds.”

But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.

After returning from my holiday, I gave myself an injection. A few days later, during lunch with a friend, she mentioned feeling sick and not eating much due to being on Ozempic. I also felt queasy, but I’d just come back from Spain and was still dealing with jet lag.

I became deeply concerned about my reliance on that medication, and after much deliberation, I came to the realization that I no longer required it for medical reasons. Feeling compelled to help those close to me, I decided to share the excess doses with dear friends.

She mentioned that she had given Ozempic to around four or five of her friends after she decided it was unnecessary for herself. “I didn’t want to keep using it since it seemed irrational,” she explained. “This medication is intended for overweight individuals, and I have guests coming over at 1 o’clock and 2 o’clock.”

Along with taking on a weight loss medication, Dubrow disclosed in January 2023 that he experimented with using Mounjaro for a limited time to understand its effects on the body.

The star of “Botched” expressed her awe, sharing that she wasn’t carrying much extra weight but decided to give it a try due to the numerous patients under her care being on it, and her own small goal of losing 10-15 pounds.

Dr. Dubrow hasn’t revealed the amount of weight he shed or the duration of his medication use, but he has admitted that he has stopped taking it.

He shared that he had been considering, “I think I’d like to rekindle my hunger,” and this was his motivation for stopping the medication. Additionally, he mentioned experiencing a mild feeling of queasiness.

The Bravo celebrity dismissed the rumors once again in her Instagram post on January 16th, as reported by Page Six, making it clear that she is “most definitely not” using the specified medication.

After fans questioned whether or not she was taking Ozempic, Jessica set the record straight.

In my experience as a lifestyle expert, I’ve come across individuals who express their struggles with personal choices using humility and introspection. Here’s how one woman put it: “I find myself pondering before the universe, dear sir. It’s not about Ozempic, no, it’s about my resolve. Am I expected to go back to my old habits of excessive drinking? Was my body built for another child? These are questions that cross my mind.”

Nassif echoed his Botched costar in giving the drug two thumbs up.

In his exclusive interview with TopMob News on February 1st, he shared that there’s no need for criticism towards those using Ozempic. He personally approves and has noticed remarkable improvements in the health and well-being of Terry and many of his friends who have started using it. These benefits may contribute to a longer lifespan, but proper usage is essential.

In actuality, the renowned plastic surgeon expressed that using Ozempic could offer additional advantages beyond weight control. He went on to share, “We’re exploring Ozempic further as a potential anti-aging treatment in the future.” This means that there may be more benefits to discover about these semaglutides and the distinct products.

Gharachedaghi was open and honest about her medication use during her health discussion with Entertainment Tonight in May 2023, sharing that she preferred to speak freely about it because she knew many people were curious or looking to make similar choices, or simply wanted to learn from her experience.

The Shahs of Sunset star, who has lost 30 pounds with Semaglutide, admitted, “I didn’t look this way just two months ago. So, it wouldn’t be truthful for me to claim I gave up alcohol and suddenly started working out intensely like some people suggest.”

After making this observation, Gharachedhi added that she was still feeling hunger pangs, expressing, “To be honest, I’m quite peckish now. I think I’ll have a quick puff on some cannabis and then sit down for a proper meal.”

The influencer shared that taking Ozempic for her type 2 diabetes had unfavorable impacts on her total well-being.

On the January 12, 2023 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, I shared my experience. This new thing, freshly FDA-approved, was completely under the radar for most people. I couldn’t believe it existed, let alone that I was going to try it. The fear crept in as they urged me to give it a go. A whirlwind of emotions surged within me.

After coming off the drug, Bader, who is publicly candid about her struggle with compulsive overeating, stated that it triggered a vicious cycle of excessive eating.

She visited a doctor who told her that her current condition was most likely caused by her use of Ozempic. The medication had suppressed her appetite for an extended period, leading to weight loss. However, she didn’t want to continue relying on it long-term and expected to feel hungry once she stopped taking it. Unfortunately, her binge eating worsened upon discontinuing the medication, making her question its impact on her health.

In March 2022, for the first time, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter revealed that she had begun using a diabetes medication following her announcement of having Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) earlier that year.

She discovered on Instagram that to receive an accurate diagnosis for PCOS, one needs to exhibit only two out of five possible symptoms, but she had experienced four. During a consultation with her endocrinologist, this revelation might have contributed to her weight-related difficulties. As a result, they agreed to prescribe medication aimed at normalizing her body functions and providing long-term health solutions as she ages.

In my latest blog post dated June 5th, I wanted to share some transparency about my current health status. A thoughtful follower had raised concerns regarding my reported use of Type 2 diabetes medication. To put your minds at ease and keep things clear, I’d like to update you all on where I stand with my health journey.

She replied, “I took Ozempic the previous year, that’s true. Currently, I’m using a small dosage of Mounjaro to manage my PCOS, along with regular workouts. There’s no need for accusations since I’ve been transparent about it.”
