Beloved Harry Potter and Doctor Who Actor Simon Fisher-Becker Passes Away at 63

A well-known actor, Simon Fisher-Becker, who gained fame from his roles in “Harry Potter” and “Doctor Who,” has passed away at the age of 63, as confirmed by his agent, Kathleen Barry from Jaffrey Management agency. Known primarily for his beloved yet one-time role as the Fat Friar ghost in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001), Fisher-Becker also reappeared in the fifth and sixth series of “Doctor Who.” After his appearance on “Doctor Who,” he continued to portray Dorium Maldovar in the audio drama series “Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles” and “Jenny — The Doctor’s Daughter.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, the actor’s representative expressed, “Today, I mourn not only a professional colleague in Simon Fisher-Becker, but also a cherished friend of 15 years. A conversation I had with him will forever remain etched in my memory when he received the role of Dorium Moldovar on BBC’s Dr Who. Simon was a writer, storyteller, and eloquent speaker. He provided me significant assistance and was always kind, considerate, and curious about others. My sympathies extend to his husband Tony, his family members, and his numerous admirers.

I regret to inform you that Simon passed away at 2:50 today. I plan to keep this account active for a while, though I’m not sure if I’ll post again. Thank you.

After learning about Simon Fisher-Becker‘s passing, Dugdale has been flooded with sympathetic messages from heart-stricken fans.
