Below Deck Down Under is boldly going where it’s never been before.
In the trailer for the upcoming third season of Bravo’s series, Captain Jason Chambers and his team are venturing towards the Seychelles, located along the eastern coast of Africa, for their initial voyage.
Initially, Jason has gathered a nearly all-new crew for their upcoming charter season starting January 7th, and this change brings some surprising ups and downs along the way.
In his 25-year tenure as a captain, Jason humorously admits he’s come to realize that it’s impossible to manage everything. He suggests that at times, we should venture beyond our familiar surroundings, delve into uncharted territories, and bravely confront the hurdles that lie ahead of us.
Aesha Scott, a cherished former Chief Stewardess, has been replaced by Lara Rigby in the role of Chief Stewardess. Lara brings with her exceptioningly high expectations for her interior crew members.
After Jason expresses his desire for the guests to have an exceptional experience when they arrive, Lara instructs her team, “It’s crucial that the cabins are immaculate: Ensure there are no wrinkles in the linens, silverware should be gleaming, no fingerprints on the tables, glasses need to be sparkling clean, and be mindful not to overpour. If it’s not perfect, make sure to correct it.
Upon Tzarina Mace-Ralph’s return as our chef, we find ourselves at odds. Her thoughts on me are that I’m overly controlling – a title she bestows that I’m not entirely comfortable with.
Switch to a conversation between Lara and Jason where she shares her frustration over the accusation, saying, “She claims I’ve been unjust to her. But that’s not bullying, it’s just my professional viewpoint.
As for Jason’s take on their beef? “I will not tolerate heads of department yelling at each other.”
Apart from being challenged by Tzarina, Lara is facing another issue: Anthony Bird, her new sous-chef, seems to be undermining her authority in the kitchen as well.
Jason expresses that there seems to be a persistent negative vibe among the crew, and he likens this atmosphere to an infection that needs to be addressed. He explains to one crew member that he must continue removing this ‘infection,’ hence his decision to terminate their employment.
Additionally, we see the return of Deckhand Harry Van Vliet, who seems to have gained more confidence since the previous season. He can be seen engaging in playful banter with various crew members. In his own words, “I’ve picked up a few tricks now.
Get a sneak peek at upcoming events like additional ship romances, unruly guest parties with plenty of foam, and a treacherous storm that could jeopardize their journey, as hinted in the trailer above.
The TV series “Below Deck Down Under” is set to come back on your screens on Monday, February 3rd at 8 pm, only on Bravo. Don’t forget to catch the episodes the very next day on Peacock!
