Ben Affleck’s Priceless Reaction to Son’s $6,000 Sneaker Wish!

Ben Affleck is just like every other dad.

At the Los Angeles Got Sole 2025 sneaker event on March 1st, accompanied by his son Samuel, Ben couldn’t help but notice a pair of Dior Air Force 1’s. This sparked him to joke in the TikTok video captured by Got Sole, saying “Looks like a lot of grass you have to mow there!

Ben, who also has Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, remarked, “You like those because they’re high-priced.” This comment was made before the price was even mentioned, which is $6,000 – a sum that both Ben and Sam found excessive.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but reflect on the fact that the actor, fresh off his divorce from the radiant Jennifer Lopez, might not have indulged in the sneakers this time around. Yet, his past words echo in my mind about why creating such memorable moments is his utmost priority for him.

“I’m aware of the importance of a father being there,” he told WSJ Magazine in December 2021. “As I was moving into adulthood as an adolescent, I remember casting around for an example, and the helplessness and the fear that come with not having something to hold on to, by way of example. So you trial-and-error your way towards manhood.”

The Oscar-winning individual remarked, “Having two parents significantly contributes to a child’s upbringing and education. To me, being an excellent father is crucial. Boys particularly require guidance on how to act, how to carry themselves, and what values they should hold. My father played a significant role in shaping my behavior, as did his occasional absences.

Emphasizing his point, he shared, “You need a father for positive reinforcement.”

The Justice League actor also knows the importance of amicably co-parenting.

In 2020, I shared with People magazine, “When one bears children with someone, a bond is forged that lasts an eternity.” I am deeply grateful that she is the mother of my children, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate in this regard.

Additionally, he mentioned that he feels confident that his children recognize the efforts their parents make, despite imperfections in their actions.

He elaborated, “Children have a remarkable ability to bounce back. They value sincerity. If you’re truthful and transparent with them, children can overlook mistakes and accept setbacks. This is the philosophy I follow as a parent: be honest, open, and they will love and respect you in return.
