Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of tagging along with my dad, Ben, at various events. During an interview on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” Ben admitted that Ella had transformed him into a dedicated Taylor Swift fan by making him listen to her music while teaching her how to drive. He went on to say, “We would play her favorite artist on the iPhone, and it turned out to be Taylor Swift. I was already a fan, but now I’d consider myself a devoted Swiftie.”

Taylor’s tunes had a soothing effect on both Ella and him. She added that their daughter had encouraged Quinlin to come this time around, and they were able to make the event enjoyable because of the extended family they’ve built over the past 20 years, watching each other’s children grow up together.
