In case you’ve played earlier Stalker games, some of the characters may seem quite familiar. However, if you’re just starting with this series, you might not recognize these characters right away. But don’t fret! There are plenty of fresh faces that will endear themselves to you as well. Almost every secondary character is meticulously crafted and boasts a distinct personality. Here are the ones that stand out the most.

Hermann
In Stalker 2, the narrative unfolds with Hermann as the central scientist who secretly escorts you into the Zone for powering up your artifact. Your character, Skif, isn’t exactly amicable towards Hermann, and they even resort to violence due to a minor disagreement. However, despite Skif’s unkind behavior, Hermann remains understanding and steadfast in his support for you.
It’s clear that he seems so helpful because it serves his purposes. After all, if helping you enter the Zone didn’t somehow advantage Hermann, he wouldn’t jeopardize his own life and professional standing for you. However, things take an unexpected turn quite rapidly.

Solder
After Solder betrays you, the storyline in Stalker 2 gains momentum. From the start, Solder is the character that you’ll find hard to forget due to his actions. However, he’s not the only one who will leave a lasting impression on you.
Humorously speaking, whenever you encounter Solder, he’s usually relaxing with a stockpile of food and Cossack vodka. He delivers some witty dialogue, even munching on a slice of bread that’s been punctured by bullets. Despite the tough living conditions in the Zone, Solder insists on enjoying himself.

Mykolayich
In the unforgiving region known as The Zone, extreme conditions and ruthless beings rule. Various factions are quick to attack Skif without warning and won’t think twice about plundering his remains. Amidst this chaotic wasteland, it’s astonishing to come across an NPC like Mykolayich – a genuinely kind and compassionate character who offers healing services for free.
Correct: This Zalissyan physician will provide you treatment free of charge, restoring both your health and reducing your radiation levels to zero. After an Emission incident, he’s undoubtedly a comforting presence as people scramble for safety.

Mityay
Most individuals drawn to the Zone are primarily motivated by their desire for wealth. This location offers potential riches and the realization of dreams, which unfortunately draws some questionable characters. Yet, Mityay stands out as an exception, as he arrives at the Zone for emotional reasons rather than financial gain.
Mityay had lived in the city prior to the Chornobyl disaster, referring to it as his hometown even before it became known as the Zone. Now, he requests that you retrieve a religious artifact from his old family home. By completing this task, you’ll uncover the heartbreaking tale of Mityay’s past.

Pomor
Among the intriguing supporting figures in Stalker 2, there’s a solitary character named Pomor who dwells within the enchanting yet treacherous Poppy Field. To shield himself from the field’s mental impacts, Pomor chooses to remain indoors.
In a chilling, monotonous tone, Pomor earns his living by ransacking the lifeless bodies of stalkers who perish in the haunted landscape. He even offers a questionable deal on a supposedly unique firearm if you decide to aid him during the Poppy Field side mission. Despite his unfriendly nature, Pomor is hard to forget.
Instead of purchasing the gun from Pomor, it might be more advantageous to eliminate him first and subsequently search his body for valuable possessions. Notably, he carries a key to a locked room in his home, which could lead you to discover hidden treasures.

Warlock
In the beginning stages of the game, you’ll find yourself centered around the town of Zalissya, which plays a significant role. At the bar in Zalissya, you’ll encounter Warlock, a character often referred to by stalkers as “the most important figure in this zone – the bartender.
Warlock offers you supplementary tasks that enable you to acquire coupons effortlessly and receive potent rewards. Notably kind and hospitable, he’s particularly welcoming towards Skif, a member of the solitary faction who is frequently targeted by hostile groups. Among your initial side missions, two will originate from Warlock.

Strelok

In the Zone, it’s rare to find individuals who are genuine friends. While some traders may consider you their preferred customer due to your high spending on weapon and ammunition coupons, it’s mostly because they overcharge you. However, Richter stands out as a true friend.
The first time you encounter him, he assists you in handling unusual situations, even though there’s no reason for him to do so. Later in the game, one of the most emotionally stirring scenes occurs between you and Richter on a pile of waste. It has a touch of romance in its emotional depth. Richter is a character developed to win over fans.
In the game “Back To The Slag Heap”, there’s a significant issue (a bug) that can disrupt your gameplay. Character Richter may not appear as expected, or he might unwittingly stray into the contaminated area and perish. To avoid this problem, it would be wise to save your game before you ascend the stairs to encounter Korshunov.
