Best Skills to Unlock First in The Precinct

To make “The Precinct” less challenging, prioritize unlocking the most effective skills initially.

In this game, there are four separate skill development paths: Physical, Fighting, Law Enforcement, and Vehicles. Each path is relatively compact, but since they’re linear, it’s crucial to carefully consider which enhancements you choose when advancing levels. As you advance in the game, it becomes increasingly important due to the growing aggression from the gangs!

To help you out, this guide will tell you the best skills you should unlock first of all.

Best Skills to Unlock First | The Precinct

Here are our recommendations of the best skills to get, in the order you should get them:

  1. Max Health+ (Physical Tier 1) – You can get this as you first upgrade in the game; it gives you a whopping 50% more Health. It’s simple, but you can’t go wrong with extra Health!
  2. Max Stamina+ (Physical Tier 2) – Like Max Health before it, this is a basic but must-have upgrade. It gives you 35% more stamina!
  3. Ammo Belt (Combat Tier 1) – Gives you 50% more ammo with all of your carried weapons, which becomes a must once you start dealing with gangs.
  4. Commandeer (Vehicle Tier 2) – Allows you to use any vehicle in the city, no matter if it’s parked or occupied. Great to have in case your police car gets wrecked during a chase, and it’s just fun to use.

  1. Timed Breath (Physical Tier 2) – Gives you the Timed Breathing ability, which you can use to regain stamina even while you sprint. A must-have for chasing suspects on foot.
  2. Fast Recovery (Physical Tier 3) – Makes your Health restore naturally 50% faster, which can really come in clutch for surviving encounters.
  3. Intimidating Order (Policing Tier 2) – Increases the range and effectiveness of your voice orders by 35%. Can be really helpful to stop criminals before they think of attacking or fleeing!
  4. Tracking (Policing Tier 4) – Admittedly, this is a skill you’ll get fairly late, as it’s deep in the Policing skill tree. Nonetheless, you should go for it once you have all the previous skills! It lets you stay aware of a suspect’s location for 50% longer when they get out of sight. Crucial for when you have more than one fleeing suspect.

Here’s what we suggest as the top skills to activate initially in The Precinct. Now, head out there and bring order to Averno City!
