German bibliophiles are mourning the loss of a prolific storyteller.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the heart-wrenching news: It is I, mourning the loss of Alexandra Frölich, the brilliant mind behind the captivating German novel “Dreck am Stecken.” Tragically, her life was cut short at only 58 years. Hamburg authorities have confirmed her passing in a press statement, announcing her demise within the confines of her houseboat in Moorport on April 22nd.
The precise reason behind Frolich’s demise remained uncertain for the officers who responded, as it couldn’t be definitively determined whether it was due to suspicious circumstances. Consequently, the authorities have started to suspect and are now conducting an investigation into her passing as a possible case of homicide.
As per the present details, family members discovered a 58-year-old woman unresponsive on her houseboat and notified firefighters who subsequently confirmed her passing. Hamburg Police spokesperson Patrick Schlüse shared this in a statement on April 22. Upon examining evidence found at the scene, the investigating authorities now suspect that the woman’s death was due to some form of violence.
Investigators from the Hamburg Police Homicide Division are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the author’s death. Already, dive teams and a scanning device have been dispatched to the location, according to official reports.
At present, detectives are examining potential individuals who could be involved. Due to the active nature of the case, more details cannot be disclosed for now.
In 2020, Frölisch emerged as a successful author with the publication of “Dreck am Stecken,” which means “dirt on one’s hands” in English. This novel tells the story of a young man named Johannes, who uncovers his grandfather’s potentially sinister past following his passing. Additionally, she has authored “My Russian Mother-in-Law and Other Catastrophes,” which translates to “Meine russische Schwiegermutter und andere Katastrophen” in German.
As a lifestyle expert, I proudly introduce myself: I am a resident of the vibrant city of Hamburg and a mother to three wonderful sons, while also maintaining my role as a journalist and author. Beyond my home base, I have recently embarked on an exciting journey by founding a women’s magazine in Kyiv.
In the author’s description, translated from German, it is mentioned that she harbors a “tightly knit yet evolving attachment” towards her former Russian lover.
In the process of investigating Frölisch’s demise, Hamburg officials have appealed for any individuals holding relevant details to come forward.
