Beverly Ortega’s Sudden Bachelor Exit Revealed

Beverly Ortega’s final moments on The Bachelor were far from rosy.

Contestant from Season 29 disclosed that she underwent an emergency operation due to appendicitis, which resulted in her unexpected exit during the third episode, shortly following her individual date with Grant Ellis.

On the latest episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, as I shared with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, I found myself dozing off only to awaken with an uneasy sensation in my stomach. I thought perhaps a trip to the restroom was needed or maybe the meal hadn’t agreed with me. However, before long, I began vomiting and the discomfort in my stomach persisted, escalating into severe pain. This agony continued for a grueling 12 hours.

Initially, she thought it might be food poisoning or the flu, but she stressed that there was clearly a significant issue going on.

She explained that the production crew eventually drove her to the hospital. After spending three hours in the emergency room, a doctor walked in and said, “You have appendicitis. You will require immediate surgery.

For her, it proved quite challenging since she, a 30-year-old born in New York, needed the procedure done in California. She reminisced, “Well, I guess I felt something like, ‘Alright, my loved ones aren’t nearby, and I’m facing a significant operation on one of my organs.’

Thankfully, the operation went well and she headed back to the Eastern seaboard a few days afterwards. However, receiving an invitation for the exclusive one-on-one date made her premature departure all the more challenging to accept.

Beverly shared that it took her around six weeks to heal emotionally,” she confessed. “Although physically, I was fine, I struggled emotionally. I found myself asking ‘what if’ and we seemed to be forming a bond. It appeared he understood and reciprocated my feelings just as I did.

Despite the dating contest not showcasing many instances of her relationship with Grant, she shared, “We did share some adorable little moments.

The insurance representative confided that they were deeply saddened, almost heartbroken, about a situation. They regretted not having the chance to bid farewell or explain things to the person involved. Therefore, they expressed their hope that the individual wouldn’t misinterpret their absence as a sudden departure.

Regardless of the sad conclusion to her ‘Bachelor’ adventure, she believed that each event has its purpose or reason.

In her own words, she was wondering, “What are the chances that my appendix will cause trouble right before I go on the show, followed by another bout of trouble just before we have a one-on-one meeting?

If the chance presents itself in the future, Beverly is ready to gather her belongings and join the cast of Bachelor in Paradise.

She expressed her desire, saying, “I am eager to tie the knot. I’m prepared for children and building a family. I’ve always been drawn to relationships, and that was my aim when joining this show.
